Obituary for Tonny Jeanne Ducker

DUCKER, Tonny Jeanne (nee Frissen) – June 23rd 1923 – October 9, 2015. Peacefully, in her 92nd year, Tonny Ducker was called to be with the Lord. Tonny was the beloved wife of the late Jack (2013) for 64 years and the loving mother of Yvonne Wilmer(Ernest), Edith Townes(Ken 1947-2009) , Sue Lockington(Jim) & Harry Ducker(June).
Cherished Oma of Russell(Narcia), Darren, Heidi(Marc), Ron(Tara), Jeff(Joanne), Ian(Kasey), John(Aimee), Julie, Stephen(Katie), Hans(Sarah), and Jack Jr.(Sara)
Treasured Bomma to Jackson, Logan, Dexter, Andrew, Alexandra, Abbey, Aspen, Hudson, Jacklynn, Tyler, Ella, Mia, James, Wyatt, and Holly.
Tonny was known as the heart of the Ducker family, with a smile always on her face. Modeling hard work, generosity and faith in the Lord. Her faith and trust in God taught her to be content with all life’s chapters. She passed on many family traditions; Dutch waffles, apple balls, rice pie and meatballs the size of baseballs. There was always something delicious cooking in Tonny’s kitchen. She was the family mender, always sewing or fixing clothing (whether you wanted it fixed or not!), always teaching how to run a fun loving and Dutch clean household. Tonny had an undeniable sweet tooth, something that she passed onto her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She had a passion for golf, cards, and people. She always made time for everyone, whether they were family, friends or customers. Tonny and Jack would spend summers with their young family camping, and enjoying the outdoors. They purchased what is now known as Hillside Lake Park. Tonny and her family worked hard to fulfill their dream, and the day to day operations of Hillside were eventually passed down to the 2nd and 3rd generations of Tonny`s family who continue to carry out their vision. Hillside Lake Park has become a second home to many of its campers, boasting "Come as Campers, Leave as Friends".
On behalf of the family, a special thank-you to all the staff & Dr. Williams, that cared for Tonny at Park Lane Terrace Nursing Home. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family. The family invites everyone to Hillside in the spring of 2016 for A Celebration of Tonny’s Life. More details to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations would be greatly appreciated in Tonny’s memory to the Diabetes Society.
