Obituary for Lyle Edward Leo Joseph St. Peter

Surrounded by his family, at Park Lane Terrace, Paris, on Wednesday July 6, 2016, a longtime respected resident and business man in Ayr, in his 80th year.
Lyle was a 14th Generation Canadian.
Lyle started his career in Tilbury building steel boat hulls, he continued his craft re-locating to Niagara-On-The-Lake. Lyle moved to Kitchener and was employed as a Production Manager with F.W.D. after they closed he worked at Schneiders. Lyle moved to Ayr in 1966 and became co-owner of Ayr Welding in 1977 subsequently he established The Weld Joint. He was very active with the U Go I Go Club in Ayr and was a valued contributor to St. Brigid’s Mission RC Church.
Beloved husband to Theresa (nee Horrigan) and the late Jacqueline “Jackie” (nee Dowdell-1987); loved Dad to Dana, Haley (Dick Haas) and Renee (Harry Knabenschuh); cherished Grandpa to Aaron and Jacqueline and great grandpa to Reid; dear Brother to June MacAlpine, Joan Van Neck (Jim), Bud (Aggie), MaryAnne Chevelier, and Marc (Connie). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Augustus “Gus” and Anna.
Friends may call at the Ayr Chapel , Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St. Ayr on Tuesday July 12, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Calvary Church (Beside Funeral Home) under the auspice of St. Brigid’s Mission on Wednesday at 11:00 AM Father John Redmond Presider. Parish prayers will be said from the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:00 PM.
Interment Ayr Cemetery.
