Hogarth, Jean (nee Didychuk)
Passed away on Monday, September 5th, 2016 at the Brantford General Hospital, with her family by her side at the age of 82 years. Jean was born in Toutes-Aides, Manitoba to Mike and Kate Didychuk.
At the age of 23 years, she married the love of her life, Scott Hogarth and they eventually settled in Paris, Ontario.
Jean’s (Baba) greatest joy in life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. They are all very special to her heart. She was famous for her love to cook, especially her perogies, cabbage rolls and homemade bread. She loved having company and always outdid herself as a host.
Jean was active at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Paris and a member of the Catholic Woman’s League.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, her husband Scott (2015), sister-in-law Virginia and niece Tracey.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories; her daughter Kate, and her sons John (Laurie) and Pete (Marlene); as well as 4 grandchildren – Mike (Steph), Chris (Jess), Katie, Jess and great granddaughter Clarissa; her sisters Mary Trush (Bill), Vicky Pascal (Melvin) and Eileen Medwedchuk, and her brother Peter Didychuk as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Friday September 9th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be recited on Friday at 8:45 PM.
Funeral Mass to be held on Saturday, September 10 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church (17 Washington St. Paris). Father Michael Bennett celebrant. Interment Paris Cemetery, Paris. Donations to the Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
