Henderson, William Lewis
Peacefully, at the family farmstead, on Friday September 30, 2016, a third generation farmer and life time resident of North Dumfries, in his 77th year.
Beloved husband to the late Judith Gail (nee Paul, Aug 2016) for 53 years; loved dad to Cheryl Lynn Duffett (Brian), Grant (Lonnie) and Paul (Michelle); cherished grandad to Hamish, Teagan and Bryn Duffett and Ben, Nick, Luke, Samantha, Owen and Wyatt Henderson; dear brother to Betty Peloquin (Bob); Brother-in-law to Ted Paul (Annie) Carl Heywood (Renate) and Penny Repesse (Rick). Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Bill's obvious enjoyment of life with family and friends and his hard work ethic, along with his commitment to the stewardship of the land was an inspiration to all who knew him in the farming community.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Church, (173 Northumberland St. Ayr) on Thursday October 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow at Grand Valley Golf Course from 12:30-3:00PM.
