Maidens, Roy Edward
Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Brantford General Hospital, Roy went to his heavenly home on Saturday November 19, 2016, in his 92nd year.
Roy served overseas with the HMCS Ontario during WWII with the Canadian Navy. He was very proud of his service. He was very active with the Paris Baptist Church, and served as a volunteer with many organizations in the Town of Paris.
Beloved husband of 70 years to Lu (nee Ryerson); loved dad to Wayne (Julia), Lynn, and David (Carrie); cherished Papa to Tanya (Michael), Scott (Dierdre), Daniel, Levi, Corrine and Connor; and great papa to Grace, Sophie, Liam and Lauren; dear brother to Allen, Blanche Bowlby, and Dale (Gwen). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Virginia Hemsley.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Wednesday November 23, 2016 from 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Paris Baptist Church (25 Broadway St. Paris)on Thursday at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ralph Meiszinger officiating. Family Interment Paris Cemetery.
