Andreas Johann Mell
Passed away at KW Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario, on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the age of 76 Years. Beloved husband to Karin (nee Zenz) of Ayr, loving father and grandfather to Heinz Mell (Sharon) and their children Alicia and Zachary; Dorothea Mell (Peter Rizakos) and their children Olivia and Sofia, and Andi Mell, his former wife Nalini Mell and their children Kassandra and Dharius.
Predeceased by his parents Heinrich and Katharina Mell (nee Aussem).
Born and raised in Germany, Andreas moved his family to Canada in 1983, a reflection of his adventurous spirit, but also his hope of a better life for his wife and kids. An entrepreneur by heart, he started various business ventures, which he couldn't have done without the unwavering support of his loving wife. Life was not always easy for Andreas, but nothing gave him a greater sense of achievement and joy than his six grandchildren. His various illnesses took a toll on his life, particularly over the last six months. While he died much too early, his family takes comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering.
Honouring Andreas’ wishes cremation has taken place.
A memorial gathering will take place at Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Ayr Chapel, 183 Northumberland St. Ayr, on Thursday April 20, 2017 from 1-2 p.m. followed by a service in the Funeral Home Chapel.
