It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Tom Thompson, at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Brantford, on January 1, 2018, in his 84th year.
Loving husband of 57 years to the late Ellen Phyllis (nee Culver -2016). Cherished Father to Jill Thompson, Joy Meech and Tim Thompson. Dear Grandfather to Trendan and Thomas (Chelsie) Prentice, and Dane (Sarah) and Spencer Meech. Sadly missed by Antonette and Annabella Baretto, Dave Spink; family including sisters Betty Ashdown and Iris Kimber, and sister-in-law Anne Thompson, nieces and nephews, extended family and his many friends.
Tom served and retired from the City of York, Fire Department as a Platoon Chief, well respected by his fellow firefighters.
Honouring Thomas’s wishes cremation has taken place. An Open house to share memories will take place on Sat. Jan. 13th at 93 Race St., Paris, from 1 – 5p.m.
