Sophie Roesler (nee Hartig)
Passed away at St Marys General Hospital, Kitchener on January 26, 2018.
Beloved wife to Rudy for over 61 years;
Loving mom to Rick (Rhoda) and Brenda Bongers (Paul).
Proud Grandmother to her grandchildren Christina (Ryan Eby), Richard (Robbyn Groves) and Natasha.
Sadly missed by her brother George, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Johann and Sophia Hartig (nee Zaig), and brothers Mike, Martin and Hans.
Born in Tekendorf, Romania Sophie came to Canada in the early 1950’s and married Rudy in 1956. The two have lived on the family farm near Washington since 1963.
Friends may call at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St. Ayr, on Tuesday January, 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The memorial service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday January 31, 2018 at 11 am. Reception to follow.
