Route 66

When Sandra and I were in AZ. We were travelling along route 66 on the bike, just outside Siglesman. I blew a rear tire, front end started to wobble. I reached around and threw Sandra off bike so she would be safe. I rode the bike down. She was laying face up at rear wheel, I went over and said are you Ok. She came too. said yes. Sandra thought it was getting windy, I knew what was happening. Before we left Canada Sandra asked if we needed insurance I said No, but Sandra watching my back went and got some and did not tell me. Good thing. Would have cost a few dollars if she had not. Sandra wanted to wear sandals that AM it was 115 F, I said no wear the new leather motorcycle boots I got you, she complained but broke down and wore them. After accident she was very happy that she did. We went to hospital, doc said ..do not tell me you were observing our stupid motorcycle laws. I said that it right we were not wearing our helmets. Sandra got road rash, and yes that hurts. I walked away with fractured rib and Stitch in my face. No biggie for me. Insurance covered everything. Even flight home. Two good Samaritans stopped by had water chairs for us, and would not leave until we were safe in the Ambulance. they were a blessing for both of us.
