Sotiria Ostner of Ayr passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 at the Innisfree Hospice, Kitchener. She was in her 84th year. Born in Samos Greece, the daughter of Evangelia and Aristidis Ioannou. Loving wife of the late Joseph Ostner (2005).
Dear mother of Angela, Leonhard (Mary Helen), Konrad (Diane), Michael, Derrick (Heidi). Adored grandmother to Ryan Dunn (Lexi), Lauren Dunn, Jennifer Hrycak (Luke), Alison Gowan (Mike), Charlotte Ostner, Ben Ostner, Sarah Brant (Jeff), Amy Fanning (Kevin), Katelynn Johnston (Jim), Calvin Ostner. Great-grandmother of Sadie and Finn Johnston, Hailey Fanning, Adriana Hrycak and Madalynne Brant. Survived by sisters Sophia Probodiak, Angeliki Katopodis, Kalopi Quilici and Matina Hetzel (Herman). Predeceased by grandson Konrad Ostner (2012) and brother-in-laws Nick Probodiak, Bill Katopodis and Nick Quilici.
Soty will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. The Ostner family will receive friends and family at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Ayr, on Saturday, December 12th, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
