Condolence: Dear Oma ,

I know the journey was long for us, and especially your role must have been forever to you but I know by the smiles on the photos that there was lots of joy in raising us .
Only a parent can truly know all the trials and tribulations that one goes through and really not until one is a parent does one truly understand the role of a mom . (something you have always said to us , just wait till you have kids ).
We wouldn't be here with out your hard work and love over the years .
Your artistry goes beyond expectations by most . From your love of flowers , gardens and the outdoors to a carpentry , sewing and culinary expertise is legendary .
You always made dinner an occasion for us and friends. Desserts were a specialty all its own .
No matter how small a living space you always made us feel that we lived large in any aspect or situation .
You were the hidden strength that made us who we are , with a "Klopper" close at hand if we stepped out of line to the Christmas Pfeffernuse baked in the oven all year around to make it better again .
You loved to hike and canoe and accompany our rigorous racing schedule and once again we wouldn't of been who we were during those years if it wouldn't have been for your behind the scene preparations .
I could write a small book and fill it large with all the talent you had and much of what you taught that we remember forever .
Helga and I both tackle our gardens now in your honour and memory . I admit I have help as Danielle loves to garden as much as you did .
God has many rooms , I hope yours is filled with the most beautiful garden you could dream of and more.

I never met you but have heard wonderful things about you and your beloved husband from my daughter, Danielle. You both so graciously accepted her and my grandchildren into your family. And thank you for your son, Klaus, who changed their lives so much for the better. You did a wonderful job and in a new country - it could not have been easy. Now you can rest in peace with your beloved husband. Be with God.
