REID, James Ernest – In his 88th year, formerly of Paris, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia. Beloved husband to the late Dorothy Reid (nee Daniel)(2015) for 64 years. Loving father to Mary (Dave) Steadman. Cherished grandpa to Brandi Reid (Jake), Jeff (Katie) Steadman, Heather Steadman, and Kevin Steadman (Alicia). Great-grandpa to Aiden, Elijah and Jeremiah. Adoring Papa Jim to Haily and Linkin. Survived by his sister-in-law Clara Coppins and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary Reid, son Daniel, grandson Ryan, great-granddaughter Samantha, brother Hamilton (Lily), in-laws Allan (Leota) Daniel and Everett Coppins. Jim’s family wish to express their sincere gratitude for the care and compassion provided by the staff of Lambton Meadowview Villa.
Family and friends will be received at STEADMAN BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, Brigden on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
Funeral service will be held at Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 2:00pm. Private family interment at Paris Cemetery.
