Arthur William Faus 1931 - 2015

Arthur died peacefully at home to be with his Saviour on December 3, 2015 at the age of 84 years. Arthur grew up on the farm and moved across the road when he married Martha (Lochman) on October 23, 1954, they were married for 61 years.
Loving father of Brian (Shelley), Peter (Kerry), Mark (Jana) and Donna (Randy). Loving grandfather of Trevor, Farran (Lee), Trent, Kyle, Mackenzie, Hayden and Carter. Survived by his younger brother Kent (Norma), sister-in-law Hedy Easton and brother-in-law Albert (Rose) Lochman. Survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Clifford & Alice Faus; in-laws Albert & Marie Lochman; brother and sister-in-law Frank and Margaret Dyck and brother-in-law Fred Easton.

Arthur attended Forward Church in Cambridge since he was a teenager. Arthur served on the Site Committee for Camp Gandaoweh (formerly Restall Camp). After semi-retiring from farming Arthur spent time gardening, travelling or woodworking. Arthur & Martha travelled to various points around the world. A thank you to the team through CCAC who helped Arthur after his stroke in 2014. A thank you to the Medical Day Care team at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Pleural Effusion Clinic in Hamilton, the PSW’s and Nurses from CCAC / ParaMed who helped Arthur during the past six months.

Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral home, Ayr Chapel, 183 Northumberland Street, Ayr, Ontario on Thursday, December 10 from 2 – 4 PM and 7 – 9 PM. A service to celebrate Arthur’s life and faith will be held at Forward Church, 455 Myers Road, Cambridge, Ontario on Friday, December 11. Visitation at 10 AM and service at 11 AM. Reception to follow at the church.
Interment at Paris Plains Cemetery, Paris.
