It is with a heavy heart that we say good-bye to our good friend and neighbour, John. We will miss his smiling face, his kind heart, and his friendly chuckle. John has always been there to lend a helping hand and to give some friendly advice for our household maintenance, gardening and tree care, and many times after a hard days work and a snow storm we would come home to a clean driveway. It was evident that when John was outside that he loved the outdoors. Often we'd be outside doing our yard work at the same time, and we'd take a break to chat or hear one of his jokes. Jason and him would share a cold one on occasion which was always appreciated under the hot day sun. John always had a great sense of humour which we all adored in him. I always appreciated when he would notice the clothes line getting a little slack and sure enough the next time I'd use it, it would be tightened up and ready to go. Last Christmas, John and Pauline gave us a gift that we will always cherish at Christmas time...it was a hand made Santa that John had put his handy work to and a lovely Christmas story that Pauline had written. John and Pauline are our family next door....although John may not still be here in body, we know he will always be here in spirit watching over us and Pauline. You will be sadly missed John...xo from the Goodalls
