I last saw Phyllis when I was about 10 years old, the year I moved away from the neighbourhood where Phyllis and Tom raised their young family in the 1970s. I remember being very impressed that Jill and Joy's father was a firefighter! What I remember about Phyllis is her smile. It was warm and accepting--something very important for a child. Even though 40+ years have passed, her smile in the photo shared in her obituary is the same. I know she will be deeply missed by all who loved her. May her smile never fade from your memories.
