Dear Jo, Deirdre, Kelly, and Patricia: We are deeply saddened about the passing of your dear husband and father, John. We have known John for 47 years. I (Emil) met him first at the Ontario Water Resources Commission where I was a summer student and John worked as a hydrogeologist before he became the first independent consulting hydrogeologist in Canada. John introduced me to the challenges of hydrogeology, and thanks to him, I am now looking back at a successful career in this exciting discipline.
